The PSL is the centrepiece of Pakistani cricket broadcasting and, uniquely among the major South Asian T20 leagues, fully accessible on free-to-air. PTV Sports carries every match terrestrially and via satellite, A Sports provides the HD premium feed and Tapmad TV is the legal digital stream. This page maps the broadcaster routes, subscription tiers in PKR and the 2026 calendar.
Where to watch PSL 2026 legally in Pakistan
| Platform | What you get | 2026 cost (PKR) |
|---|---|---|
| PTV Sports | Every match, free-to-air, terrestrial + satellite | Free |
| A Sports (cable / DTH) | Premium HD feed, ad reduced | Bundled in cable packs (~PKR 800–1,500 / month) |
| Tapmad TV | Digital stream, mobile + Smart-TV + Web | PKR 250–500 / month |
| ARY Sports | Selected PSL highlights + magazine programming | Bundled in cable (varies) |
PTV’s free-to-air position is the structural difference between Pakistan and India: where the IPL is fully paywalled in India, the PSL is fully FTA in Pakistan. A Sports adds picture quality; Tapmad adds mobile flexibility.

How to watch PSL 2026 legally in Pakistan
- For free coverage, tune to PTV Sports on PTV’s terrestrial signal or any cable / DTH basic pack. Every match is on PTV — no subscription, no platform lock-in.
- For premium HD, A Sports through your cable operator’s standard sports pack — picture quality and reduced ad-load are the upgrade reasons.
- For digital / mobile, Tapmad TV at PKR 250–500 per month — the legal alternative to unauthorised streaming. Supports mobile, Smart-TV and web.
- For pan-region diaspora, Sky Sports (UK), Willow TV (US) or Cricwick (Gulf) — geographically gated, follow the table above.
PEMRA, the FTA mandate and PSL primacy
PEMRA, Pakistan’s Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, mandates PTV’s free-to-air carry on the PSL as a matter of public-interest broadcasting. This is the structural reason PSL accessibility in Pakistan is materially higher than IPL accessibility in India: the Pakistani state broadcaster carries the country’s flagship T20 league terrestrially, where the Indian government’s FTA mandate explicitly excludes franchise leagues.
The same PEMRA framework, on the other side, is the reason no Pakistani broadcaster carries the IPL — the PEMRA blackout has held since the early 2010s and Indian rights-holders do not license the IPL into Pakistan. PSL in Pakistan is free; IPL in Pakistan has no legal route.
